Brick Breaker – Classic Arcade Game, Free Online
The classic paddle-and-ball arcade game. Keep the ball in play, aim your bounces and break every brick to move on. Tough silver and amber bricks need more than one hit, and each level is a little faster than the last.
How to play Brick Breaker
- 1. Launch the ball
Tap the game area or press Space to send the ball up from the paddle. - 2. Steer the paddle
Drag your finger, move the mouse or hold the arrow keys to slide the paddle under the ball. - 3. Aim with the paddle
Where the ball lands on the paddle sets its angle: the edges send it out sharply, the centre straight up. - 4. Clear every brick
Break all the bricks to finish the level. You have three lives; you lose one each time the ball falls past the paddle.

Brick Breaker tips
- Break through to the top
Open a gap in one side of the wall. Once the ball gets above the bricks it bounces around and clears them for you. - Use the paddle edges
Hitting the ball near the edge of the paddle sends it at a steep angle, which is great for reaching the last few bricks. - Stay under the ball
Move early and keep the paddle roughly under the ball rather than chasing it at the last moment.

There are five hand-made layouts. After level five they repeat with tougher bricks and a faster ball, so the game keeps going as long as you do.

Why do some bricks not break?
Amber bricks need two hits and silver bricks need three. They show a crack after the first hit.
